Kiwanis of Bay Village.

Dedicated to serving the children of the world, this global volunteer organization annually raises more than US$100 million and dedicates more than 18.5 million hours to strengthen communities and help children. Through service projects and fundraisers, Kiwanis members improve their communities, make lifelong friendships, and, most importantly, help children thrive, prosper and reach their full potential.

We are a community service organization with a rich 59 year history of making Bay Village a better place to be.

Drop In

What We Do

Our Projects

Bay Village Kiwanis is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide. Below are the projects in which we are currently involved:

Bay Days

Bay Village Kiwanis Club and the City of Bay Village Sponsor Bay Days. The event allows community organizations to raise funds through their presence with food or game booths. Kiwanis is known for their Curly Fry booth, selling 1500 lbs of spuds this year. They also organize the Bike and Trike Parade allowing children the opportunity to show off their talents by riding their decorated bikes along a parade route. A car show where folks have the chance to display their rides is also conducted by Kiwanis.

Service Project

BA 2017-2018 Kiwanis Service Project recently completed was the Lake Erie Nature Science Center Sign Holder Project. Kiwanis members constructed, stained and installed wooden sign holders for the Science Center live animal exhibits. Pictured installing signs are Bay Village Kiwanis members Warren Remein, Mike Ernst and Stan Grisnik.

St Patricks Day was celebrated by the Bay Village Kiwanis Club on Tuesday March 13th. Being a member of Bay Village Kiwanis is not all work. In addition to fund raising events and community service projects Bay Village Kiwanis Club holds social gatherings for members, family and friends. These get togethers provide a relaxing environment where members and guests can spend time reinforcing old friendships and making new ones. Being a member of the Bay Village Kiwanis club means being a member of the Kiwanis family.

Annual Pancake Breakfast

2018 Kiwanis Pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny and the Fairytale Foundation Princesses. In conjunction with the Bay High School Key Club , the Bay Village Kiwanis Club has spent over 50 years providing support to the educational community through proceeds from their annual Pancake Breakfast.

Christmas Tree Sale & Cahoon Christmas

For the last 20 year's Bay Village Kiwanis has been selling Christmas trees at Cahoon Park. Our volunteers brave the elements from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. The proceeds help support projects such as the Normandy School playground, Rachel's Challenge, Reese Park renovations, The Village Project, BAYarts, educational grants and more. Cahoon Christmas festivities at the Community Center enjoyed great entertainment, projects, crafts, fellowship, and a visit from Santa.

Bay Village Kiwanis Club Scholarship awards for Bay High School Seniors 2017. Bay Village Kiwanis Club awards over $15000 in scholarships to graduating seniors who have demonstrated their commitment to serving the community through volunteering efforts.

Day 9 of Grants

Day 9 of Grants: Acoustics for Holistic Education in partnership with Kiwanis, a "FrontRow ToGo" Sound Field System was granted to Westerly School. Granting this sound system improves students ability to learn, understand & concentrate by providing clear sound quality in the classroom.

Blanket Project

Annual service project by fourth-graders at Westerly Elementary made warm, fuzzy and comforting blankets for Urban Community School students. The students created 15 blankets with the help of more than 75 adult church volunteers. The children then delivered the blankets to the school.

Cahoon Christmas 2016

The annual event, sponsored by the Bay Village Kiwanis Club and the Bay Village Historical Society, included lots of fun provided by many of the city’s civic groups. Santa Claus arriving in a fire truck, accompanied by a police escort. After riding through the city’s streets, Santa makes his grand appearance at the Community House.

Holiday Member Celebration

We host a holiday event every year to thank our membership for all of their hard work and many hours of service to Bay Village Kiwanis. The Bay High Choraleers entertains after dinner with Holdiay songs.

Bay Days

Bay Village Kiwanis, along with the City of Bay Village sponsor this 4 day event over the Fourth of July. Carnival rides, games, booths for community organizations to raise funds, entertainment, bike and trike parade and capped off by Fireworks on the 4th.

Community Spring Clean Up

Bay Village Kiwanis choose several areas in and around our community that need a little sprucing up after our long winters. With the help of student volunteers and our members, the community looks a little brighter at the end of the day.


Why become a member?


Kiwanis International offers three clubs for adults: Kiwanis, Aktion Club and Circle K International (CKI). Kiwanis clubs serve their communities by sponsoring 150,000 service projects each year. Aktion Club is the only community service club for adults living with disabilities. It provides members opportunities to become integrated into their communities while developing initiative and leadership skills. CKI is the world’s largest student-led collegiate service organization with clubs on 469 campuses. More than 132,000 Key Club and CKI alumni are associate members of Kiwanis to remain engaged in the Kiwanis family of clubs.

Kiwanis offers three clubs for youth: Key Club, Builders Club and Kiwanis Kids. Key Club is the oldest and largest service organization for teens, and teaches leadership through service to others. Builders Club for adolescents provides students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, improve self-esteem, increase civic engagement and learn life skills through service. Kiwanis Kids for elementary students provides opportunities to work together on service projects, develop leadership potential and create strong moral character.

K-Kids is a student-led community service club for elementary students that teaches members the value of helping others through participation in community service projects and club activities. k-kids.org


Bay Village Kiwanis



"Giving back to the community" is one of the key benefits of joining Kiwanis. In Bay Village, we have many opportunities to volunteer our time for a wide range of worthwhile causes, some noted above. Participating in such worthwhile causes and meeting on a regular basis creates a bond of friendship and spirit of camaraderie amongst club members.
